It is hard to express the impact a trip like this has on someone. Big picture—we spent four days in Zinder, Niger with 80+ pastors and leaders from all over West Africa. These are people on the front line—even though they are the poorest of the poor, they minister and live with incredible joy and are a real inspiration. After the conference we traveled further north and spent two days out in the bush, where we were able to offer our second medical clinic thanks to a doctor friend who was able to come on the trip. A major highlight for me would be meeting the Dagra people out in the bush. Most of the village had never seen a white person before or ever heard about Jesus. We were helping foster relationships for follow-up work with our in- country pastors, so we brought a live goat to offer as a gift. I am happy to report that five young adults in the village gave their lives to the Lord that night—what an experience. The presence of God was amazing and my faith was greatly increased by the signs, wonders, and miracles I personally saw including over ten blind or partially blind people having their eye sight restored. God is so good!
